At college surgery we provide a full range of contraceptive services. You can see any gp or practice nurse for advice regarding contraception.
If you require emergency contraception please phone as soon as possible and ask to speak to the same-day service doctor. He/she will phone you back within an hour and arrange for an appointment to obtain this.
If you want to start on the contraceptive pill, patch or injection, please make an appointment with any doctor. Our practice nurses can also provide contraceptive pill checks and injections.
We provide long acting methods of contraception as well, such as nexplanon (the contraceptive implant) and coils (IUDs, such as the mirena/IUS and copper IUDs).
For coils (IUDs) nexplanon, please request an appointment via reception.
For IUD removal please arrange to speak to one of the doctors or nurses by telephone for advice, and they will then arrange a suitable appointment for you with one of the nurses.
